Walking in history
The Fortress of Louisbourg (Cape Breton), is the largest restoration project in North America.
At one-fifth of its original size, the Fortress is still a marvel.
We were visiting late in the season, so only half of the Fortress was open, but walking the streets still gave you a sense that this was once a thriving colony. It’s a must see attraction, especially if you love history.
